Creating Content that Resonates with Your Audience

While anyone can click post on Facebook, Instagram and any other social media platform, it doesn’t mean that what they’re posting is truly adding value to their accounts and their business. We wanted to put together some quick tips and tricks to ensure your content is helping you to turn clicks into clients.

  1. Understanding Your Followers
    • If you were opening a vegan restaurant, posting photos of barbecue probably wouldn’t make the most sense. You need to get in the mind of your audience. What are your services? What are their interests. Make sure your content is tailored to those followers so it’s meaningful to them.
  2. Stay Authentic
    • There’s never a good reason to lie to your audience. By opening up to your audience and letting them in, you’re able to build a deeper relationship to your audience and leave them feeling a genuine connection. This can only build up the strength and your bond and keep lasting relationships and recurring customers!
  3. Visuals are Key!
    • You can never go wrong by incorporating visuals. A featured image gives you an opportunity to immediately draw in your readers. Be sure to make sure your visual matches your written content. If you’re writing about the benefits of technology, a photo of a newspaper might not exactly match your content.
  4. Let Your Audience be Involved with User Generated Content
    • If someone leaves you a positive review or comments, why wouldn’t you want to incorporate that feedback into your content. Not only does this add to the authenticity of your page, but it helps build a community where everyone feels like they can be involved!
  5. Keep the Conversation Going
    • If someone is taking the time to leave their support with a like or a comment, this can open all sorts of doors. Keep the conversation going by responding. Ask questions, prompting then to continue to respond. Building engagement is key to getting new clients!
  6. Keep Your Branding Consistent
    • When you see a green mermaid, you instantly think of a certain coffee brand. Those Golden Arches?  Automatically, the brain goes to fast food. Keep consistent with certain colors, fonts, and one solid logo to keep your brand recognizable both in print and online.
  7. Keep it Trendy!
    • Certain memes, jokes, conversations, are constantly going in and out of style. It’s not always best to force these trends into your business posts. But, when appropriate, it can show your audience that you’re trendy and always paying attention. It’s never a bad idea to keep up with current dialogue that is going on!
  8. Monitor Analytics and Adjust:
    • The most important thing you can do for your accounts and pages is checking in to see if what you’re doing is working. Monitoring your analytics weekly and monthly can show you where you’re striving and what areas need some work. Check those metrics for things like demographic, best times to post, and types of content that succeed.

Overall, crafting your content to grow and retain your audience ensures you’re not just posting to keep active, but to create and grow a community of new and returning customers. This way, those relationships go beyond the digital, turning posts into profits and showing people you care about their thoughts and inputs.
