Blogging for Beginners

Whether it’s personal or business, blogging has managed to maintain its status as one of the most efficient tools to keep readers up to date. But if not used efficiently, the core pieces of information can get lost in the jumble and fail to serve its purpose. We’ve put together some quick tips in order to get the most out of your blogging experience:

  • Stick to one main topic.
    • While your thoughts and ideas may be running through your head, make sure you keep things spaced out. Try to stick to one main focus when crafting your posts. Don’t hesitate to break things up into several posts so you don’t lose your readers.
  • Keep it concise.
    • Longer isn’t always better. As long as the core information is there, don’t feel the pressure to keep your posts lengthy. Short and sweet always prevails.
  • Identify your vision.
    • If you’re crafting a blog around flowers, it’s probably not the space to be talking about surfboards! Make sure you stay on track.
  • Resonate with your audience.
    • Listen to feedback. If you find yourself getting more clicks on your posts that are published at night, stick to posting around that time. If your view time is longer on those posts with pictures, consider sticking to that route as much as possible!
  • Read every day.
    • While it is important to know your competition, it’s also important to keep content fresh. Stay up to date with others to ensure you yourself are up to date with trends and statistics.
  • Keep titles interesting.
    • The title is the first thing your reader will see, making it just as important as the topic you’re writing about. Don’t leave it as an afterthought. It will set the tone.
  • Keep it fun!
    • This isn’t your final essay for your college courses. While I blog is a great way to keep information flowing, remember to keep those readers engaged.

Keep these topics in mind when you begin your journey, and you’re sure to stay on the right track!
